For the Commsor team, it’s always felt like Brian Oblinger was one of us — so we’re thrilled to announce we’ve made it official.
Veteran community pro Brian joins Commsor as Senior Vice President of New Products, where he’ll lead teams developing a range of products and experiences to better enable companies and community leaders to design, build, and manage successful communities.
Brian has been involved at Commsor since 2020, collaborating with us on a number of exciting initiatives like The Community Club, C School, and The Community-Led Growth Model (plus a few other things that you’ll be seeing soon).
“As our relationship and collaborations grew stronger, we continued to explore opportunities to work closer together,” Brian says. “Given our shared vision for the future of community and deep understanding of those who do this work every day, we’ve recognized several areas where we can have outsized and lasting impacts by partnering more formally.”
Brian, who is also currently the lead instructor of C School's 201 Leadership Track, has some big plans on the horizon for his new role at Commsor — namely, building the tools and resources you’ve always needed.
“For me, this isn’t just a great job opportunity — it’s my mission,” he says. “I’ve spent the last 25 years helping the best brands in the world engage their customers to increase satisfaction, lower costs, and generate more revenue through the power of community. I’ve also been focused on up-leveling community professionals by openly sharing my experience, expertise, and vision for the future of our industry so that they can accelerate their paths to success.”
If you’re a fan of In Before The Lock or the job opportunities and insights Brian shares on his social channels fear not. “Nothing is changing,” he says. “In fact, we’re exploring even more ways that I can connect with you in the future. Hit me with your hopes and dreams for the future of community so that we can build it for you. Let’s go get it, together.”
